Kids Muddy Mile
FUTURE DATE TO BE DETERMINED
The 7th Annual Kids Muddy Mile is the only mud run of its kind in the Upper Cumberland Region. Children ages 5-14 will be eligible to run the one mile course on the campus of the Putnam County Family YMCA. Children will start in waves by age or run with siblings (last wave) through the muddy course with over 20 obstacles, including a giant mud pit at the end! Parents are welcome to accompany children ages 5-7 along the side of the obstacles. Parents that have children with special needs that would like to participate, please contact Jenny Thacker at 931-528-1133 for more information. The Kids Muddy Mile is part of our Healthy Kids Day event that offers interactive activities that offer loads of fun for the whole family. Come join us for this great community event! Virtual Turkey Trot
KIDS GOBBLE WOBBLE - 7:30 AM
5K - 8:00 AM
Our Thanksgiving Day 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run has become one of the Upper Cumberland’s largest runs. It is a huge highlight for the Cookeville community and the many visitors who come to Cookeville for the holiday. The funds generated from the Turkey Trot help provide life changing outreach programs like Learn To Swim, Open Doors and our Cancer Recovery Program. Each of our outreach programs help us accomplish our mission at the Y, putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
The race will start at the Putnam County Family YMCA and will circle around Old Kentucky Road to Old Walton, turning right on East Hudgens and then turning right on Raider Drive.
Stuff the Streets
Turkey Trot has been stuffing the streets for more than 20 years, this year we would like to fill the pantries of local food bank shelves. Participants are asked to bring as many non-perishable food items as they can carry to the Y or during the month of November. Please join us in supplying food for those in need.
