Turkey Trot

NOVEMBER 26, 2026

KIDS GOBBLE WOBBLE - 7:30 AM

5K - 8:00 AM

Our Thanksgiving Day 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run has become one of the Upper Cumberland’s largest runs. It is a huge highlight for the Cookeville community and the many visitors who come to Cookeville for the holiday. The funds generated from the Turkey Trot help provide life changing outreach programs like Learn To Swim, Open Doors and our Cancer Recovery Program. Each of our outreach programs help us accomplish our mission at the Y, putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

RACE ROUTE

The race will start at the Putnam County Family YMCA and will circle around Old Kentucky Road to Old Walton, turning right on East Hudgens and then turning right on Raider Drive.

Map can be found here.

Stuff the Streets

Turkey Trot has been stuffing the streets for more than 30 years, this year we would like to fill the pantries of local food bank shelves. Participants are asked to bring as many non-perishable food items as they can carry to the Y or during the month of November. Please join us in supplying food for those in need.

The Putnam County Family YMCA is partnering with Baskin-Robbins to host a YMCA Spirit Night on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 4pm-9pm at the Cookeville Baskin-Robbins. During the event, a portion of all sales will be donated to support YMCA Outreach Programs, including Learn to Swim, Cancer Recovery, and Open Doors Financial Assistance.

Spirit Night provides the community an easy and fun way to support programs that make a lasting impact.
